Terms & Conditions

My Mechanic Helper (the "Service") is provided by David Justice ("we", "us"). When you use the Service you are contracting with David Justice. By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms.

The Service

A vehicle maintenance log for cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, classics, boats and jet skis, with service reminders, parts and receipt tracking, a build wishlist, DIY resources and AI-assisted tools. A free plan and a paid Premium subscription are offered.

Your account

  • You must be of legal age in your country, or use the Service with a parent's or guardian's permission.
  • Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, including:

  • using it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to send spam;
  • infringing anyone's intellectual property;
  • interfering with its security, e.g. uploading malware, probing for weaknesses, or scraping;
  • reverse engineering, reselling, or getting around plan limits.

AI features

The troubleshooter, oil suggestions and odometer reading use AI. Answers can be wrong or incomplete and are not a replacement for a qualified mechanic or your owner's manual. Check the results yourself, especially anything to do with safety, and follow safe working practices. You are responsible for what you enter and how you use the results. Don't use these features for illegal or harmful content or to try to get around their safeguards. We may limit or remove content and suspend accounts that misuse them.

Your content

You keep ownership of your vehicle data, photos and notes. You give us a limited licence to store and process them only to provide the Service. Rights-holders can report content that infringes their rights by contacting us, and repeat infringers may lose access.

Ownership

David Justice owns the Service, including its software, design, content and branding.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, renewal, tax, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. Premium renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. If you cancel, you keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.

Availability

We don't promise the Service will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, it is provided "as is", without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or data), and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law doesn't allow it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access for a serious breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations. You can stop using the Service at any time. When your access ends, your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Notice.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
